EFFICIENCY PLAN OF ACTIVITIES IN COMPANIES OF DIFFERENT SIZES AND LEVELS OF BUSINESS
Abstract
Modern business conditions necessitate the existence of the vision and mission of the company as well as a planning of activities. The vision presents the picture of the future. Mission is concretization of vision. Planning activities is necessary in order to determine a course of company’s action in the long, medium and short period of time. The survey was conducted on a sample of 468 respondents that are employed in 150 companies in the territory of Vojvodina (the maximum tested are three employees from one company).The results showed that most companies in sample are micro-companies, as well as the largest number of companies included in the sample operate on a local level. The research found that plans within the business unit are mainly short-term, the highest percentage is familiar with the mission and vision of the business and the efficiency of the plans are rated with average score of 3.78. It has been shown that there is a significant difference in companies of various sizes, as well as companies that operate at different levels (local level, the territory of Vojvodina, the territory of Serbia and international level) in the existence of the business mission and vision, the effectiveness of planned activities and the period of time for which is planned within the business units.
