Journal History

The journal was founded in July 2012 as the official journal of MESTE, an organization for the dissemination of experiences in the field of social sciences and related information technologies. The idea was for FBIM Transactions, as a multidisciplinary platform, to encourage the exchange of information between Western Balkan experts.

The first issue of FBIM Transactions was published on January 15, 2013. years.

Since January 2013, all published journals and all papers have received their DOI numbers.

Since January 2013, the journal has been regularly submitted to the National Library of Serbia, Scopus, Thomson Reuters (now Clarivate Analytics), UC Santa Barbara Library,  and Open Access Library.

Since January 2014, the journal has been regularly reported for indexing to Index Copernicus.

Since August 2015, FBIM Transactions has started to appear on the Internet in two versions, its original and the version of the Open Journal System (OJS).

Since 2017, the journal has also appeared on the ResearchBib and the ERIH PLUS European Reference Index.

In 2019, FBIM Transactions was categorized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia into the M54 category.

From the year 2014, the MEST Journal is present on Facebook, as well as on Twitter.
